MW Installation replaces old fuse boards with modern consumer units featuring RCD protection and circuit breakers, bringing your property up to current BS 7671 standards. Most upgrades take a single day, usually without a full rewire, and we test every circuit and provide a completion certificate on completion.
Consumer unit (fuse board) upgrades bring your property's electrical system up to current BS 7671 standards. Old fuse boxes are replaced with modern, safe units featuring RCD protection and circuit breakers.
Older fuse boards may not provide adequate protection against electrical faults. A modern consumer unit significantly reduces the risk of electric shock and fire in your home or premises.
Most upgrades are completed within a single day. The power needs to be switched off during the changeover, but we aim to minimise disruption, and in many cases the work can be done without a full rewire.
We carry out full testing of all circuits after the upgrade and provide a completion certificate confirming the work meets BS 7671 standards, with immaculate, well-dressed internal wiring.

Contacted MW Installations to upgrade sockets within the house and replace outside lights after after a bad experience with a previous electrician.
